Merging pop, rock, and country elements into a contemporary sound, Calm & Chaos is comprised of Anne Marie Bannister on vocals and Demian Bannister on guitar and vocals. They have spent the better part of the last decade performing a wide mix of cover songs and originals all over the Bay Area as an acoustic duo, along with occasional full band shows..AnneMarie's voice has been compared to Chrissie Hynde and Karen Carpenter, and Demian spent many years touring the states, receiving airplay on popular San Francisco Bay Area radio stations Live 105 and Alice Radio as the guitarist in The Dangs, The Caroline Movement, and Five Alarm.
Calm & Chaos' debut original 12 song CD "Bad Decisions Make For Great Stories" was mastered by Marc DeSisto, reknowned for his work with U2, Pink Floyd, Sheryl Crow, Vertical Horizon, and many others. In 2017 they released an album of cover songs a a tribute to artists who passed away in 2016 titled "2016 Gone Not Forgotten", featuring acoustic interpretations of legends such as Prince, Glenn Frey, David Bowie, and George Michael.
Dan DeShara has been playing music in the Bay Area for over thirty years. Although he plays acoustic guitar, his song list is mostly filled with electric guitar songs done acoustically. Lots of Beatles, Zombies, Neal Diamond, UB40, The Who, Elvis Presley. Allman Brothers, etc. Mostly music from the 60s to 70s but also some Brittany Spears and Oasis thrown in for good measure..
This dynamic artist also performs with a who’s who of musicians in an outfit called Lumberyard. The full ensemble is particularly approved as a one of a kind Party Band. Many of today’s players imitate instead of emulate. Dan’s musical garden is full and thriving. He is a one of a kind heirloom.
